Hosting my own wordpress blog,I can finally change anything and everything.

So..well..Im basically still in the layout design process.
There's still the Uploading of pictures and coding.

The flu virus is on a rampage!! Lol,almost everyone I know is sick.I just recovered from it after a weekend of suffering[not sure why though,I just recover from sickness fairly quickly.].
Must be the weather.

Wait,its GLOBAL WARMING!!

Notice the weird weather patterns?
The increase occurence of floods/droughts.
Which leads to rising food prices,
because it is almost impossible to grow and harvest them
before the weather eats it.

I wonder if we would be eating tapioca and sweet potatoes and yam all day in the next decade?

Well at least the Americans know what dengue fever is now.

Whee!! Just came back from FOC yesterday 3April ..slept for 15hours...[with me waking up every 3-4 hours]

The OC/GL/GP got me used to sleeping 3-4 hours a day.

My legs finally got a rest and have recovered from a 100 year old rusted steel to a wooden block.Ive also lost my voice for a few hours[the part where I was super quiet,I dont think anyone can differentiate that haha.]...yeah..after 16 years of not losing my voice.

And yes I finally get to eat bread[we ate bread on the 2nd day,I wished it was for every breakfast/brunch] for breakfast!!

Disco night was great ,I was jumping around like mad and I had no idea where everyone was and for some reason I dindt feel tired ,at least until the last 10? songs.

Amazing Race was awesome but amazing race + battle royale on the same day is a concoction of death..I wished I could fly.[seriously you would wish you could fly after running around for 12 hours plus.]

Sentosa was awesome.I havent been there in 3 years.Finally I get to dive into the water..haha..I love to swim.Captains Ball at the shore was nice..even though the GPs were damn good at it..

PS. Where the hell is my laptop!! I need to configure it before monday 7 april.

Finally after weeks of frustration..Ive figured out how to layer a textured bg beneath the main bg[Dont worry I dont understand that either].

Now lets get back to life..Ive just returned from a chalet.Quite disappointed that I only got to play about a few hours on Halo3's weekend playlist.Fortunately enough new maps will be released for download on Teusday ,5pm.Yeah,I cant wait to play on Foundry.

The Camp briefing was interesting.Briefing usually meant sitting down and listening.This time though,we played ice-breaker games.Some silly things were done there.

I found these helpful when I was making my choices on which course to go to.

You must create and look for opportunities: Opportunities rarely ever come knocking on the door of someone who's not seeking them. You have to create and seek opportunities for yourself. You have to take the initiative to get the ball rolling and the doors opening.

Negativity will only bring more of it: When you focus only on negativity, obviously that's all you will see. You will not seek out positivity, and even when positivity comes into your life, you'll look for the negative part of it.

Where you are does not determine where you can go: It doesn't matter if you're homeless or living in a mansion, poor or rich, or if you have a 4.0 grade point average or "failing", it won't make any difference in the future. There are countless rags to riches stories to back this point up. If you have the drive and talents, you can go anywhere. You create your own limitations and horizon.

If you can't help others, you can't help yourself: Even if it's just to hold the door for someone or some other simple gesture, it will do wonders for your life. You'll feel great and you'll eventually be returned the favor sometime during your life, whether you realize it or not. If you don't want to help others, then others won't want to help you, and nor should they.

Follow your passion, money will follow: If you have passion and have fun doing your job, then I wouldn't consider it a job. You can focus on creating even more passion for that subject and money will eventually follow you. If you focus only on the money, it won't come because you're focused on the quantity of your work and not the quality.

Enjoy yourself: Have fun as much as possible, don't take everything so seriously. Push your worries aside and bring enjoyment closer.

If it were easy everyone would do it: This is why get rich quick schemes will never be true. If it was so quick and easy then everyone would be millionaires. Making money and accomplishing tasks is hard work, but well worth it.

Planning is good but so is being spontaneous: Planning ahead in business and in life is important but so is being able to quickly change that plan. Various people and events will get in the way of your plans, so you have to be able to modify or forget your plans at times. Be spontaneous once and awhile, it makes life interesting.

You have many talents: You may be a talented athlete or musician but you probably have ten more talents you don't even know about. When people find something they're good at, they only focus on that instead of seeing what else they can do.

Don't work hard without rewards: What's the point of working hard to follow your dreams if you aren't going to treat yourself along the way. Each little or big goal you accomplish should be rewarded with a proportionate treat, maybe a day off or a big slice of cake.

Money does bring happiness: As I said, you shouldn't be chasing money but when you do earn it, you know you've been accomplishing something. It feels great and brings you happiness because you know you'll have more freedom and time to do what you want.

Someone always has it worse: At times you may be having a bad day, but stop yourself and think about it; there has to be millions of other people are having a worse day than you.

You'll need others: Make as many friends as you possibly can and never burn bridges. You will need others for your success.

Being open-minded is the key to more knowledge: If you want to know more about the world you have to be open-minded. Give everything a chance.

Failure is great: One of the most important, if not the most important steps to success is failure. You have to fail at least once, but it's better if you've failed multiple times. You can learn so much more from your failures than you could any other way. And when you finally achieve success, you'll appreciate it so much more.

Most people are actually nice: This is something I've only recently realized. Most people are nice, but not usually to strangers. Once they get to know you and you get to know them, they will most likely seem like very nice people.

Words and thoughts control everything: What you say and think will ultimately become reality. If you say you're going to fail, then you will because you'll find a way to make it happen. If you say you're going to succeed, the same will happen, you'll find a way.

Your view is the reality: How you see an event or situation is how it exists. If you see something as tragic and negative then that's what it means to you. If you see something as exciting and positive, then that's what it is.

Inspiration and motivation are everywhere: I don't care where you are, there is something there that can motivate and inspire you. You can be at war is some far away country, in horrible conditions, but there will be something there to keep you going and strive for something better. You just have to recognize it and keep it with you.

You can change the world: Every single person has the ability to change the world whether directly or indirectly. When you change your life and the lives of those around you, you've changed the world. Small things that you do can make a huge impact on the world.

I find the original version too flat,the vocals were also too dominant making it sound heartless and cold..So I made some adjustments to it to give it some warmth. I hope you like it.The things I do when Im bored............

Details of adjustments:

Added some reverb to make it sound wider.
Increased the bass.

Ive just started playing AOE3 but I have to say the physics and graphics are astounding.
Hitting a soldier with a cannonball would send him flying.Firing a cannonball at a ship would puncture the ship and leave a hole through it.

Even though my com couldnt handle the maximum settings without lagging very badly.

Back to School..

Well I went back to school today to collect my EAGLES award.I left home at around 2pm and took the super-full bus [ The bus services 2 secondary schools , 1 Junior College and 1 Primary school with one more primary school coming soon ].

So when I arrived at school..the Blue-White-Yellow colour scheme do make the school look like a primary school but hey..at least it looks more alive then the usual yellowish-white?

I didnt meet any teachers at school..maybe it is because today is a wednesday and they're all having meetings?

And most of the walls in school have drawings on them..fortunately not all.

I thought of taking pictures of the school initially, unfortunately it was about to rain and I didnt bring an umbrella.So I had to rush back home.

Thats all I have to say about my "little outing".

Ok here goes.

Jamendo, the quickly-growing free music community, is delighted to announce a partnership with the One Laptop per Child association (OLPC) to bring a selection of Creative Commons music to their $100 laptops.

OLPC, which relies exclusively on free software and free content in the laptop, will be able to add several collections of children-targeted free music from Jamendo to the OLPC library. Samuel Klein, the content director of OLPC, said “This is some fantastic jamming; now free music lovers everywhere can share their favorite playlists with our schools.”

Jamendo has always been about making people from different countries discover each other’s music. Sylvain Zimmer from Jamendo said : “It makes a lot of sense for us to help OLPC because their laptop is an excellent way to extend the music sharing values we defend to the developing countries and to children in particular.”

Jamendo is making it possible for everyone to submit a playlist for inclusion in the laptops. Each member of the community can create one or more special playlists for this occasion.

The playlists should have less than 20 minutes of music, contain only tracks appropriate for children and licensed under the Creative Commons BY or BY-SA licenses. To label a playlist for the OLPC, add “OLPC” before its name. For instance : OLPC music from Kenya.

Yipee!! Just got an xbox 360 last friday and have been playing Halo 3 ever since. Next game on my list Assassin's Creed.

Well as you can see I changed my skin again.Partly due to that fact that the last one was alittle to dark and mostly because Ive learnt how to use Flash.I hope your holidays are as enjoyable as mine.

Will be posting more pictures soon as Im going to Sunway Lagoon this December and hopefully a resort that is inspired from a french village.

Normal people use Limewire/Kazaa to download music.Geeks use torrents [almost the same as what normal people use but a little more complicated and safer].So what do the super geeks use?

GOOGLE!!
By exploiting the the super search engine functions , super geeks are able to download music straight from the directory and at almost thrice the DL speed compared to P2P networks.

The directory is the backbone of any website.
It contains all the files and data , some of which might not be meant to be downloaded or even seen.

Find Out How.

However the downside to this is that not all music would be listed.This means that unless it's popular , dont even bother to search.

Unfortunately when it comes to you really wanting to view the blog you would need an invitation from the author or the existing user.
This is really inconvenient.Especially if you really need that certain code for your blog [In my case for example].

Well looks like I have to do another search..[argh!! this is so frustrating , so near yet so far!!]
